Fredy Clue

Fredy Samuel Lundh aka Fredy Clue is a folk musician with a big creative drive for the development of the Swedish folk tradition. They produce modern Nordic music on nyckelharpa (Sweden’s “national instrument” keyed fiddle) and song and create performance that merge folk music, tradition and queer questions–in a way that envelopes audiences completely and creates remarkable, transformative experiences embued with happiness.

Fredy Clue performs solo and in duo with Julia Bengtson on fiddle and vocals, among other collaborations. On stage they craft immersive experiences combining music, tradition, storytelling and folk art.

Fredy is also the project manager behind Sweden’s first gender neutral traditional folk costume–a project that gained international attention putting Clue on the map as one of Sweden’s most innovative folk artists in any genre. The folk costume Bäckadräkten is now
on display in two permanent exhibitions in Sweden – Röhsska Museum of Design and Craft and Kulturen Historic Museum.
